Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They controlled the budget process for FY2008 and FY2009, as well as FY2010 and FY2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY2009.

Let’s remind people of what the deficits looked like during that period:

The White House DOES NOT control the budget, Congress does, and for those of you who have been living under a rock since November 2006 or drinking the left wing kool-aid, there is NO CHALLENGING THE FACT: THE DEMOCRATS HAVE BEEN  IN CONTROL OF BOTH HOUSES OF CONGRESS SINCE JAN 2007.  Anything BEFORE Jan 2007, you can blame on Republicans squarely.  But NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE can argue that anyone FORCED Barak Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid to TRIPLE the national deficit in less than 1 YEAR!!!!!  Barak Obama and Democrats spent more money than President George W. Bush did COMBINED in his 8 years as president.  Democrats also managed to let unemployment explode to 10.2%.  While President Bush's max unemployment was around 6.5% granted it was going up as the economic crisis of 2008 began. 

This is indisputable, all the Democrats have done since Jan 2007 is SPEND SPEND SPEND.  So the notion of President Barak Hussien Obama "inheriting a massive national deficit", is a total farce and a blatant lie.  Senator Barak Obama was in fact, one of those Senators exploding the national deficit.  Republicans had nothing to do with the massive government spending in the last 2 years President George W. Bush was President because... wait for it... the President of the United States DOES NOT  write/create/control the budget process by which government spends American tax payer money.  So even though President George W. Bush was in fact President of the USA at the time, Bush had no control over Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid spending the night away with your American citizen tax dollars. 

So, if you still think that Republicans and George W. Bush are responsible for creating and exploding the national deficit all you need to ask yourself is:  1) When did the Democrats take over Congress?  ,and 2) When did our national deficit start to exponentially explode to levels NEVER SEEN BEFORE? 

Answer #1) Democrats took over all of Congress in January 2007 after defeating Republicans in both the House of Representatives and Senate.

OK, 1 more time let me explain why this is a farce and a total blatant lie.  Barak Obama was a US Senator since 2004.  Democrats have been running Congress since Jan 2007 after winning over BOTH the House of Representative and the US Senate.  So now the DEMOCRATS ARE IN CONTROL OF SPENDING FROM Jan 2007 onwards, with full control over the FY 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 Congressional budgets (See deficit chart above). There is no debating this, this is HISTORICAL FACT THAT IS UNARGUABLE.

Yet here we have President Barak Obama claiming that somehow, someway the Republicans were responsible for creating the economic mess when Democrats have been fully in control of the Congressional budget since 2007.  Something don't smell right here?!?!?!  What Obama is really trying to do here is blame someone else for the mess Barak Obama and the Democrats have made since taking over BOTH the House of Representative and the US Senate in November 2006.  President Bush had nothing to do with the spending of the 112th Congress, all the President does is sign legislation into law and tries to be a cheerleader in trying to get Congress to write laws and legislation that the President wants to sign into law.  Congress on the other hand ACTUALLY writes the law, and SPENDS tax payer money on Congressional projects and budgets.

And who was in that Congress in November 2006 until November 2008.. oh yeah that guy, President Barak Hussien Obama. 

So the notion that Barak Obama is trying to pass the responsibility for the ever expanding federal deficit is a COMPLETE LIE!  Logic does not compute the way Barak Obama and the Democrats are hoping it does.  Barak Obama and the Democratic Party OWN this deficit issue.  THEY OWN IT WHOLLY 100%. 

To argue otherwise is to believe truth is fantasy. Which ironically is the land that pretty much a whole bunch of Obama supporters live in with unicorns and magical diplomacy to cure the world of all evils because Barak Hussien Obama says so.

If you weren't scared enough about the future economy for your children because of the massive DEFICIT then you should be OUTRAGED by what your kids are being forced to learn in schools (aside from indoctrinating hypnotic chants of the likes of "Hmm, hmm, hmm Barak Hussien Obama, Hmm, hmm, hmm Barak Hussien Obama"), then just read what Barak Obama's "Safe Schools" Czar Kevin Jennings is having kids read.  Frankly, this is disgusting and parents SHOULD BE OUTRAGED by what the Obama administration is forcing kids to read.  The book list is divided into three main categories: books recommended for grades K-6; books recommended for grades 7-12; and books for teachers.

AMEN - Republicans should promise to repeal “Obamacare”!!!

Well, I say let it ride. And just to make it more interesting, Republicans should promise to repeal “Obamacare” if they get a congressional majority in 2010. As National Review’s Ramesh Ponnuru argues, that way moderate Democrats won’t be able to run away from their votes come 2010. They’ll be on notice that this will be the campaign issue of the election. And moderate Republicans will be on notice to resist the temptation to tinker with Obamacare rather than defenestrate it once it’s passed.

Amen to that.  I said it a while ago in my post here.  Barak Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid have killed any notion of 'bi-partisanship' for the future of American politics.  How can ANYONE think Barak Obama is a "Uniter" when he thinks, writes, speaks, and believes to his core, THIS.

This is literally civil war between the political class and the rest of America. 

There is no middle ground and the forces of American patriotism following the laws and guidance of the greatest document in the free worlds' history, the Constitution, will not be thwarted by the progressive, socialist agenda of a very very small minority of the Democratic party, unfortuneately that small minority was fraudulently elected to power under a fake banner of "Hope and Change."  What Barak Obama ran on was that "Hope and Change," what he meant by it was "Socialism, Taxes, and Government control of your lives, by Barak Obama and Rahm Emanuel, and there will be nothing you can do about it America." 

Thank about that America.  Who are you going to listen to;  The Constitution which guided us to becoming the greatest nation in earth's history in 200 short years, or Barak Obama who thinks the Constitution is just a piece a paper not worth the ink used to write it, just because he says so?  Who are you going to believe?  Do some critical thinking of your own, don't be a lemming running off the cliff with the others.

WTF?  SERIOUSLY?  THAT IS INSANE.  The Constitution has guided us for over 200 years to become the greatest nation the earth has ever seen, and Barak Obama says it is a "flawed" document!!

This story by American Thinker is entirely on point and too important to not read and think seriously about.  Where do you want America headed... in the right direction of freedom, ahppiness, and prosperity... or into oblivion, loss of all freedom, loss of economic proserity, and government control of everyones' lives?

Read and answer common sense questions like; Is this really going to help America or hurt America?

It is time to cast aside all remaining doubt. President Obama is not trying to lead America forward to recovery, prosperity and strength. Quite the opposite, in fact.

In September of last year, American Thinker published my article, Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis. Part of a series, it connected then presidential candidate Barack Obama to individuals and organizations practicing a malevolent strategy for destroying our economy and our system of government. Since then the story of that strategy has found its way across the blogosphere, onto the airwaves of radio stations across the country, the Glenn Beck television show, Bill O'Reilly and now Mark Levin.

The methodology is known as the Cloward-Piven Strategy, and we can all be grateful to David Horowitz and his Discover the Networks for originally exposing and explaining it to us. He describes it as:

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were two lifelong members of Democratic Socialists of America and taught sociology at Columbia University (Piven later went on to City University of New York). In a May, 1966 Nation magazine article titled "The Weight of the Poor," they outlined their strategy, proposing to use grassroots radical organizations to push ever more strident demands for public services at all levels of government.

The result, they predicted, would be "a profound financial and political crisis" that would unleash "powerful forces ... for major economic reform at the national level."

They implemented the Strategy by creating a succession of radical organizations but most notably the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), with the help of veteran organizer Wade Rathke. Their crowning achievement was the "Motor Voter" act, signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1993 with Cloward and Piven standing behind him.

As we now know, ACORN was one of the chief drivers of high-risk mortgage lending that eventually led to the financial crisis. But the Motor Voter law was another component of the strategy. It created vast vulnerabilities in our electoral system which ACORN then exploited.

ACORN's vote registration scandals throughout the U.S. are predictable fallout.

The Motor Voter law has also been used to open another vulnerability in the system: the registration of vast numbers of illegal aliens, who then vote reliably Democrat. Herein lies the real reason Democrats are so anxious for open borders, security be damned.

It should be clear to anyone with a mind and two eyes that this president and this Congress do not have our interests at heart. They are implementing this strategy on an unprecedented scale by flooding America with a tidal wave of poisonous initiatives, orders, regulations and laws. As Rahm Emmanuel said, "A crisis is a terrible thing to waste."

The real goal of "healthcare" legislation, the real goal of "cap and trade," the real goal of "stimulus" is to rip the guts out of our private economy and transfer wide swaths of it over to government control. Do not be deluded by the propaganda. These initiatives are vehicles for change. They are not goals in and of themselves, except in their ability to deliver power, and will make matters much worse, for that is their design.

This time, in addition to overwhelming the government with demands for services, Obama and the Democrats are overwhelming political opposition to their plans with a flood of apocalyptic legislation. Their ultimate goal is to leave us so discouraged, demoralized and exhausted that we throw our hands up in defeat. As Barney Frank said "the middle class will be too distracted to fight."

These people are our enemies. They don't use guns, yet, but they are just as dangerous, determined and duplicitous as the communists we faced in the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam and bush wars across the globe, and the Nazis we faced in World War II.

It is time we fully internalized and digested this fact, with all its ugly ramifications. These people have violated countless laws, and could be prosecuted, had we the political power. Not only are their policies unconstitutional, but deliberately so - the goal being to make the Constitution irrelevant. Their spending is off the charts and will drive us into hyperinflation, but could be rescinded, had we the political power. These policies are toxic, but could be stopped and reversed, had we the political power. Their ideologies are poisonous, but could be exposed for what they are, with long jail sentences as an object lesson, had we the political power.

Every single citizen who cares about this country should be spending every minute of his/her spare time lobbying, organizing, writing and planning. Fight every initiative they launch. It is all destructive. If we are to root out this evil, it is critical that in 2010 we win competent, principled leaders willing to defend our constitution and our country. Otherwise the malevolent cabal that occupies the seat of government today will become too entrenched.

After that all bets are off.

To add to the warm-mongers' woes, patron saint Al Gore, the man who claimed to have invented the Internet, might also have claimed the discovery of Photoshop. Dr. Roy Spencer, of the University of Alabama at Huntsville, formerly with NASA, has taken a look at the pictures used to illustrate Gore's new book, "Our Choice: A Plan To Solve the Climate Crisis."

Gore Photoshopped NASA imagery of the earth for the fold-out cover photo, adding four hurricanes at once, including one spinning in the wrong direction next to Florida and, in a physical impossibility, one on the equator next to Peru. Somewhere in the process, the island of Cuba was deleted.

How can ANYBODY take Al Gore seriously now.  The man is a fraud.  The entire carbon credit scam is just that, a SCAM!  If, when writing a book about the effects of global warming Al Gore could not even find a credible REAL picture of a weather pattern then what does that say about the rest of his claims? 

Let me re-quote that again just in case you missed it:

That said, I do believe we should treat the earth with respect and not pollute the planet, and reduce our by-products so that they are biodegradable and do not hurt the environment.  But at the same time when global temperatures have not increased at all over the last decade one has to wonder what the hell Al Gore and the rest of the people promoting and profiting off the global warming hysteria really want out of all of this?  Hmmm, maybe, could it be, possibly $$$$$$$$$$.. MONEY!

LOL! Finally, SNL is Funny Again!

This is simply awesome.  SNL is finally getting funny again, although they will probably become the target of the next Obama Administration media war. If SNL keeps doing skits like this, their viewership will skyrocket!  There is absolute truth in this skit, which just brings home the point that Obama has lost all credibility to perform his job as President of the United States of America, namely PUTTING AMERICA FIRST!  Which judging from his world apology, and recent Asian country tour, Obama has failed miserably at performing the functions in his actual job description.  Obama cannot sell his BIG government, MASSIVE DEFICIT causing SOCIALIST agenda. Barak Obama's approval rating has PLUMMETED and his Disapproval has been constantly rising because more and more people are seeing Barak Obama for the radical SOCIALIST HE IS.  His ENTIRE agenda is to bring down the United States and force the US to become a socialist country like those in Europe whose failing economies and rampant unemployment speak for themselves.

This SNL parody is just perfect because it clearly shows how a rational person (in this case Chinese President Hu Jintao) views Obama's fiscal policies, just in funnier terms.

If SNL keeps this up I might start watching it regularly again.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is touting the Senate’s newest health-care bill as costing $849 billion over 10 years. But this uses the same accounting trick as past versions: 99 percent of the costs don’t kick in until the fifth year of that “10 year” period. And the true 10-year costs are well over twice what Reid's advertising: $1.8 billion.

Over this same 10-year span, the 2,074-page bill would hike taxes and
fines on Americans by $892 billion — more than the alleged price of the
bill.

Harry Reid needs to go take 3rd grade math class again and learn what arithmetic is.  Noteably 'how to ADD two numbers correctly!'

Just exactly why every American with an IQ over 5 is AGAINST ObamaCare, PelosiCare, and RiedCare.  I personally am self-employed, I CHOOSE not to have health insurance because i go to the doctor 1 time a year for a checkup and pay $150 OUT OF MY OWN POCKET for the doctors visit.  I DO NOT USE THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM OTHERWISE.  Therefore, Nancy Pelosi's claim that those who are uninsured by choice are "taking advantage, and draining the healthcare system" are complete BULL SHIT!  But according to Nancy Pelosi it is OK to send me to JAIL for 5 years for not CHOOSING to buy health insurance.

Even Democrats Are Starting to HATE...Democrats!

This is a hard thing for us to write, especially since it’s not a done deal for us yet, but we think the MSM and liberals’ apology efforts for Muslim mass-murderer Hasan at Ft. Hood might just be the last straw for the Democrat Party with us.

Liberals are doing everything they can to fabricate a delusion that this was not a terrorist attack made in the name of Islam — which we clearly believe it was. Hasan dressed in his white martyr robes the morning of his murder spree. He gave away his precious Koran the way Islamic martyrs do. He shouted “Allah Akbar” before taking the lives of as many of our soldiers as he could. In the past, he attended mosque with a radical Imam linked to 9/11, and repeatedly talked about how evil the United States is, how much he hates America, and how much Muslims need to kill as many innocents in this country as possible.

This was a terrorist attack, no matter how much the lunatic Left would like to convince you otherwise…or go to great efforts to hug, coddle, and sympathize with the “misunderstood” Muslim terrorist.

This has just gotten ridiculous.

.....We have absolutely no respect for the Democrat Party after the way it’s behaved the last three years.

All of the above would have been UNTHINKABLE to us in 2007.  Never in our lives did we think we would vote Republican or call ourselves Independents, but that’s where things have certainly moved.

As we process this further, we’ll write more on the topic, but the concerted effort from the White House and DNC to paint Muslim terrorist Hasan as some sort of misunderstood angel on a murder spree is just too much.

For YEARS we’ve heard Republicans talk about what an insane cancer liberalism is, and how much liberals want to destroy America as we know it.

We never believed them…but the last few days have given a new clearness to everything for us.

Liberals are truly running to the defense of a Muslim terrorist…and not running to help his victims…not running to protect Americans from further attacks like this…they are running to defend a murderer.

It’s appalling. And we think it might just be our very last straw with these loons.

Barak Obama has pushed even Democrats away from the Democratic party!  This is how RADICAL and America-HATING this Obama Administration is.  FINALLY, at least some Democrats are waking up to the MONSTROSITY that THEY elected President and put into power with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.  Not to mention Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Charlie Rangel and the like.  All thee people are CORRUPT TO THE BONE and EVERYONE of them is doing things to damage America forever.  The Main Stream Media only perpetuates their lies and covers up their misdeeds.  Whereas when it comes to anybody (including Republicans, or Independents, or even Democrats who speak up) who doesn't agree with them they demonize them, they trash them in the media.

At least some Democrats are waking up and seeing the destruction that the Democrats and the liberals in their party have done the the great U. S of A.  It's frankly sickening that it took this long for them to see what America haters they voted into office.  But at least it's a start.  DEMOCRATS... YOU OWN THIS PROBLEM called OBAMA!

I for one am a 30 year old HEALTHY male, I go to the doctor about 1 time a year for a checkup/physical, and I pay about $150 out of MY OWN POCKET, and then go about my business.  If I get sick, I DO SO AT MY OWN RISK, and IF I need to visit the doctor more than that, I PAY FOR IT OUT OF MY OWN POCKET!  You cannot justify because I choose not to buy health insurance that I am "draining thE healthcare system."  I AM NOT USING IT AT ALL, AND WHEN I DO I PAY FOR IT WITH MY OWN MONEY!!!

Now you want to throw me in jail for not paying ridiculous amount of money for healthcare THAT I DO NOT USE!?!?!?!? A preliminary review of that plan by the Congressional Budget Office found it would cost about $1 trillion over 10 years to extend health insurance to 16 million people who otherwise would not be covered -- about a third of the roughly 45 million now uninsured.

"I think this plan that we put forward is more centrist, more bipartisan and would be at significantly lower cost," Kirk said. He said no cost estimate had been prepared for the measures he put forth Tuesday, but asserted its elements would require less money from taxpayers than other proposals.

The package announced by the GOP "Tuesday Group" includes some perennial Republican favorites such as regulatory relief, an individual tax break for purchasing health insurance and limits on malpractice lawsuits. It also would encourage insurers to pool their coverage to a greater extent
than currently allowed, which Kirk and other supporters say has worked well in California.

But it also emphasizes preventive care, computerizing patient records and reducing "defensive medicine" by promoting treatments proven effective -- all principles the White House has endorsed, as well.

The centerpiece of the plan, Kirk said, is a "Medical Rights Act" that would keep government out of "decisions made by you and your doctor."

He said the plans were drawn up during four months of talks with dozens of groups, including patient advocates, doctors, nurses, employers and "other interested groups."

The proposal came as the conservative GOP leadership in the House stepped up attacks on the proposal being drafted by Senate Democrats. House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said Monday's budget office report showed "millions of Americans" would lose their current insurance.

"President Obama says the problem with our health care is that we spend too much, and if you look at all the proposals, clearly they are going to spend trillions of dollars of additional money that we don't have -- that we're going to have to borrow -- in order to finance their scheme," Boehner told reporters.

Interesting.  The last time I checked, when a program is going terribly wrong you would do everything in you power to fix it, not create a COPY of it which will cost 10 times as much as the original program that ended up not working!  Medicare is going broke, and Obama and Democrats use that as an example of a success!  LOL, what a joke!  Or the Post Office.. LOL what a JOKE!  The government is a BUREAUCRACY AND NEEDS TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF PRIVATE ENTERPRISE DOING THE GOOD WORK MAKING THINGS CHEAPER, MORE EFFICIENT, AND BETTER. 

Doing nothing is not an option - BUT SO IS MAKING THE ENTIRE THING WORSE!  If it is going to make things worse and cost close to a $1,000,000,000,000.00.. leave the current system in place, and tackle the issues 1 at a time, not comprehensively change the entire system that 75% of Americans are happy with! 

If Democrats really wanted to pass something they could be proud of, and the American people would completely accept:  Why not just remove the regulation restricting cross state insurance?  THAT would solve about 85% of the problems with costs, and medical restrictions and would cost $0,000.00.  Honestly, I currently don't have health insurance.  I'm 30 years and and in great condition, I CHOOSE not to buy health insurance becauwse it costs too much and i have higher priorities than paying $3,600 a year to go to the doctor 1 time for a checkup.  With that being said, I DO NOT WANT A FORCED GOVERNMENT HEALTH-CARE OPTION.  I WANT THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE MY DOCTOR, AND I WANT MY DOCTOR TO HAVE THE FREEDOM TO TAKE ME ON AS A PATIENT.  I WANT MY DOCTOR TO RUN HIS OWNS PRACTICE SUCCESSFULLY, NOT BE RUN OUT OF BUSINESS BY THE GOVERNMENT, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. 

And one more thing... GET TRIAL LAWYERS UNDER CONTROL!  TORT REFORM MUST BE DONE!

Vitter claims that California got as many as five extra Congressional districts from the 2000 Census after their failure to determine status:

The senator claimed that Reid wants illegals to be counted in the 2010 Census so that left-leaning states with high illegal immigrant populations could increase the size of their congressional delegations. The Census is a major factor in determining the each state’s share of the 435 seats in the House of Representatives.

“I think it’s pretty clear that Harry Reid and the Democratic side…wants illegals counted in the Census, wants illegals in the reapportionment of the House,” Vitter said on a conservative talk radio show late yesterday.

Vitter, who is co-sponsoring the measure with Sen. Bob Bennett (R-Utah), claimed that illegals counted in the 2000 Census allowed California to maintain up to five additional seats in Congress they should not have.

Each seat represents 690,000 American residents at the moment, although in 2000 it would have been closer to 640,000, as population grew about 8% since the last census. Would California’s illegals have amounted to 3.2 million? That would be the upper reaches of estimates for illegal immigrants in the Golden State, but probably not outside the realm of possibility. If they all got counted, it could have skewed the allocation of seats in the House as much as Vitter claims.

Critics will say that the Census is not an enforcement agency for immigration, and they’d be correct. However, no one says that the Census Bureau has to act as an enforcement agency, either. They do not need to call the cops if they discover that residents have no legal status to remain in the country. They do need, however, to document it, for a couple of reasons. The lesser reason is that it will give us some real data on which to base immigration enforcement and/or reform legislation in the near future — Barack Obama says it’s one of his key priorities — instead of relying on guesswork from contradictory resources on the subject.

More importantly, though, is the core purpose of the Census itself. The Constitution requires the Census to properly calculate the legal population in order to apportion representation in the House for the states. Not only does counting illegal immigrants have no legitimacy for that purpose, it penalizes those states who act to enforce American law and reward those that act as “sanctuaries” in defiance of the law and national security.

Below, Vitter makes his argument on the Senate floor. This amendment needs a vote so we can see how our Senators support and defend the Constitution.

This just proves the point I made in my earlier post regarding photo ID requirements for everyone to prevent ILLEGAL immigrants from scamming our health care system.  The vote that was taken in Congress - and DEFEATED by DEMOCRATS on a straight party line vote - is exactly the kind of proof that Barak Obama and Democrats in Congress don't want to see regarding their "Make Illegal Immigrants Legal" campaign. 

Honestly, at this point, I think Americans are so fed up with the crap coming out of Washington DC.  Democrats WANT to take someone NOT FROM THIS COUNTRYand NOT IN THIS COUNTRY LEGALLY and basically make them eligible to be counted AS LEGAL, which essentially will skew all the 2010 US Census data in favor of ILLEGAL Immigrant states/counties/Politicians/Democrats.  There simply couldn't be any other explanation to it than that.  Any congressman/woman who votes to allow ILLEGAL aliens to be counted as a US Citizen should be removed from Congress and tried as a traitor to the USA.  Your job in Congress is to look out for AMERICANS, NOT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!!  How much clearer do the American people need to make it!!!!!!

ILLEGAL Immigrants DO NOT deserve to be counted, they DO NOT deserve to have citizen rights, they DO NOT deserve our health care system on US tax payer subsidies.  We are AMERICANS, AND WE TAKE CARE OF AMERICANS FIRST AND FOREMOST, NOT ILLEGAL ALIENS WHO COME HERE AND BREAK OUR LAWS, STAY HERE ILLEGALLY AND USE ALL OF OUR SOCIAL SYSTEMS FOR THEIR BENEFIT WITHOUT PAYING INTO THAT SYSTEM TO MAINTAIN IT!!!

STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION NOW FIRST!@!@!  DO NOT GIVE ILLEGAL ALIENS THE RIGHT OF A US CITIZEN... THOSE RIGHT WERE EARNED, PEOPLE WHO COME HERE ILLEGALLY HAVE NOT EARNED THOSE RIGHTS AND SURE AS HELL DO NOT DESERVE THEM!!

At this moment many Americans are longing for a president who is more bully, less pulpit. The president who leased his immense inaugural good will to the hungry appropriators writing the stimulus bill, who has not stopped negotiating health care reform except to say what is non-negotiable, whose solicitude for the wheelers and dealers who drove the financial system into a ditch leaves the rest of us wondering who has our back, has always shown great promise, said the right things, affirmed every time he opens his mouth that he understands the fears we face and the hopes we hold. But he presides over a capital whose day-to-day functioning has become part-travesty, part-tragedy, wasteful, blind, vain, petty, where even the best intentioned reformers measure their progress with teaspoons. There comes a time when a President needs to take a real risk - and putting his prestige on the line to win the Olympics for his home town does not remotely count.

Karl Rove whacks Juan Williams on Fannie and Freddie

"We started in 2001 to try and reign in Fannie and Freddie. We spent four years doing it. We got a bill through the Senate Finance Committee on a party line vote to reign in Fannie and Freddie in 2005 and one of the first things Barack Obama did when he came in to the United States senate was, because he was the third largest recipient of Fannie and Freddie money he joined a filibuster of every democrat led by Senator Chris Dodd to block that measure from being brought to the floor of the United States Senate. Three years later in September 2008 President Obama, then candidate Obama, voted for the same bill he could  ave voted for three years ago after Fannie and Freddie collapsed. So don't tell me that we didn't try to do something during the Bush years to reign in the housing problem. We were the people who said let us subject Fannie and Freddie to the same kind of scrutiny that we subject banks, savings and loans and credit unions and it was candidate Obama who refused to join that effort, that would have kept this from being an accelerant to a worldwide financial crisis."

True. President Bush publicly called for the reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac 17 times in 2008 alone before Congress acted. Democrats, on the other hand, blocked reform numerous times.

It was later reported after the 2008 election that Bush had nothing to do with the financial crisis. Hoover Institution visiting fellow Scott S. Powell wrote in Barron's in February of this year that the present crisis began in the 1970s, during the Carter administration, with passage of the Community
Reinvestment Act to stem bank redlining and liberalize lending in order to extend home ownership in lower-income communities. This risk was acknowledged in the Bush administration's first fiscal-year budget, released in April 2001. Sadly, these warnings were ignored by Obama and the democrats in Congress.
