This is a great article by Charles Lipson for the Chicago Tribune in an opinion piece about ACORN and the Obama Administration.  Lipson states:

Independent prosecutors should not be appointed lightly. But in this case, there are good reasons why Atty. Gen. Eric Holder and other political appointees in the Justice Department should step aside.

ACORN's close ties to the progressive movement and Democratic Party mean that there will be little public confidence if Holder decides not to pursue an ambitious investigation and ultimately prosecute.

Ironically, ACORN's chief executive officer, Bertha Lewis, strengthens the case for an independent prosecutor with her robust defense of the organization. FOX News, she says, is pursuing her group  solely for political reasons. They oppose ACORN, she says, because it is associated with progressive
politics, labor organizing and the Obama administration's health-care initiative. Unfortunately for ACORN, Lewis' charges also mean that if the Obama administration decides not to prosecute or to indict only low-level employees, the public will wonder if they are seeing a political defense by ACORN's friends, a coverup rather than a fair-minded, independent decision by the Justice Department.

Holder has compounded these concerns with two recent decisions. In New Mexico, federal attorneys apparently recommended high-level prosecutions in the pay-for-play scandal swirling around Gov. Bill Richardson. Holder's office overrode them and dropped the case. Holder also decided to drop the voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party in Philadelphia, where thugs were caught on tape brandishing clubs outside a voting precinct. In both cases, Holder has refused to explain his actions.

After these decisions and Holder's silence about them, there is simply no reason to hand him another high-profile case with political ramifications. What we have seen on tape cries out for a serious,
independent investigation to determine if ACORN and its affiliates are a criminal enterprise, whether they have spent federal grants lawfully, whether they helped taxpayers file fraudulent returns, and whether they violated laws prohibiting tax-exempt organizations from engaging in partisan politics.

And it s all true.  Attn Gen. Eric Holder HAS IN FACT not explained any of his actions regarding the Bill Richardson case and the voter intimidation case in Philadelphia.  The decisions on NOT going forward with these cases DESERVES to be explained why they were not as there is video evidence of the New Black Panther Party doing exactly what was charged in the lawsuit. 

We need a completely independent investigation that will root out corruption no matter how high it goes, including the President, just like they did with President Nixon.

I seriously beg to differ with President Obama on this.  TERRORISM is the defining issue of our generation.  Call me crazy but I would rather NOT have health insurance and still be alive versus having health insurance and be dead from a terrorist attack like that of 9/11.  Barak Obama seriously has his screws loose if he thinks that health care is the most pressing issue right now.  Sure, health care is a big issue, but it pales in comparison to national security, or the violating of our Constitutional rights by the Obama Adminsitration and Democrats in Congress.  Turning on it's head 250+ years of American freedoms and rights, for socialism and "wealth redistribution."  The Obama Administration is dead wrong on it's priorities for the USA.  

All Obama has to do to solve the Heath Care issue is remove the restrictions on purchasing health insurance across states lines so that competition will dramatically increase and costs will naturally be reduced.  Combine that with tort reform and medical malpractice reform and you have a heath care plan that costs $0.00 and solves 90% of the heath care issues.  But NOOOO, President Barak Obama and the Democrats in Congress are determined to force socialism down the throats of the American people at a cost of $1,000,000,000,000.00 - YES, that is TRILLION - over 10 years.  Why?  Because this istheir one and only chance at achieving socialism in America and they are damned if they are going to let the opportunity to ruin America pass them by, regardless of the concern or disdain of the American people.   Americans will not stand for this and you are seeing this coming to fruition.  By and large polls all over the country are vehemently opposed to ObamaCare because they see what disaster it will bring and at such a tremendous cost with no benefit but socialism and reduced care - and you certainly cannot call those 'benefits."

The defense apparatus in the United Arab Emirates arrested 45 suspects, most of them Palestinian and Lebanese, after the plot to blow up Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower) was uncovered. Dubai Tower, currently under construction, is the tallest building in the world.

The current wave of arrests adds to the eight other suspects detained immediately after the plot was revealed one and a half months ago. The detainees were apparently sent as agents of Iran.

Why the world has waited 7+ years to confront Iran is beyond me. Just imagine the next time something like this is discovered there will definitely be a nuclear component to it.  Imagine how scary THAT is.  To all those people out there who use the argument that "Well, Israel has nuclear weapons, and the United Stated has nuclear Weapons and so does, China, France, UK, Russia."  Well here is you answer:  NONE of those other nuclear powers actively try to blow up building in other countries, actively supports and financies terrorists organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas, actively kills their own people in the name of Shiite Islam, and actively calls for the utter destruction and obliteration of another country.  THAT'S WHY!

This article and the information in it should serve as a warning to those who think Iran is capable of dialog in the face of world determination to stop their nuclear efforts.  This article is but the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Iran, they have agents all over the world and have committed terrorist attacks even in Argentina! Why Iran would be operating half way around the world causing mayhem and death should get even the dimmest bulb in the room to start thinking with his/her logical part of the brain.

Congratulations Mr. President on a job well done.  Yes, President Obama deserves credit for this decision to kill/capture a wanted terrorist responsible for terrorist attacks in Kenyan and other places against the United States.  In this area of Obama's policies I'd actually have to give him pretty high remarks.  Obama has made some tough choices when it comes to America's defense, but he has nonetheless made some very good calls.  ex. engagement of the Somali pirate kidnappers in April.  These actions no doubt were probably very tough for the simple reason that the Left wing of the Democratic party, which Obama is smack dab in the middle of probably fought him tooth and nail to avoid taking on threats to the United States and our citizens.  It amazes me, the hypocrisy of those on the Left, that they will avoid legitimate defense for fear of international condemnation.  Honestly, who cares what the rest of the world thinks, their people are not in danger, and when push comes to shove, I'm looking out for my own - American citizens.

One Inspiring Article on Afghan Progress to Date

This article is showing a great success story that you probably will not hear about in most main stream media news cycles.  But the fact is that the right people in Afghanistan are making a lot of progress.  Are there is alot of problems with Afghanistan?  Yes.  But are there alot of good things happening you don't hear about?  Definitely! 

These Afghan commandos are seeing what the United States is all about. 

"It is like the U.S. — nobody cares if I am Italian, Irish or Polish,"
said the captain. Military embed rules for Special Forces units do not
allow him to be identified by name. "The only thing that matters is the
quality of the soldier. It's the example of what we are trying to
accomplish here."

This is the larger challenge here.  The issue is building a nation, and at the heart of a nation is it's military.  The more professional, the more inspired to protect and serve the country you are fighting for is a crucial element to national success. 

Duplicating that achievement across the wider army may be more
difficult, because the commandos are the army's best recruits and
receive intensive training,
Munoz said. Still, they are proof that training can produce results,
and Munoz said "you win the war" if the U.S. can extend the results to
the rest of the army.

Really, all we Americans want is what this Afghan commando leader, Col Frarid says:

I am seeing the benefits of that unity of identity."

This is simply awesome, this is the type of leadership and national pride that Americans have been trying to show the Afghans over the years that we would like them to have, so that they can build a nation and protect it from people like the Taliban.  A peaceful prosperous nation, that is the goal and we, as Americans would like nothing more than to help Afghans achieve that goal get achieved.  Yes, it is a long hard road to get there since Afghanistan is about 1000 years behind Iraq in terms of nation building.  But that can be accelerated with the US and NATO help we are giving them.  All the Afghans need is the 'want' and the 'drive' to achieve success, and we will help them get there as we are doing.  The commando unit in this article should be commended, not only for their bravery in fighting for their country, not just sectarian tribe, but also for their vision in seeing a country united under one flag and the possibilities that await them. 

Things are definitely moving in the right direction.  And for all those haters out there who think progress is measured in terms of attacks/bombing and killings?  This is war, that happens alot.  As long as there are people like Col. Frarid and his Afghan commandos, Afghanistan is definitly on the winning path.  It is only a matter of time and determination for the rest of the Afghan Army and civillians to come around and see the light that the commandos have already seen.

Wow, the Associated Press actually does a pretty good job here breaking down Obama's talking points during his speech to a joint session of Congress.  They missed a few points but for a main stream media article that's not too bad since they still have a slobbering love affair with Obama.  All President Obama could do was reitterate the same old, tired talking points from his left wing nutroots base.  He accomplished nothing with his address to the joint session of Congress except for making himself look more and more like the jackass he is and has always been.  Only now it is really out there for the world to see. 

I think the two most accurate comments by lawmakers came from Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and Sen. Bob Corker
(R-Tenn.).  Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) one of Obama's most consistent critics, saw some room for compromise. "It was a good speech, the problem is that what he wants and what they've written are two totally different things," said Coburn, an OB-GYN. “I'm willing to compromise to get things fixed. But I'm not willing to put the government in charge because we don't have a good track record."

Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) said it best when he commented after the speech: "I sat there tonight wondering what the purpose of this evening was. I was hoping to hear the president flesh out a middle ground, but instead we heard platitudes and campaign rhetoric."

Also, the outburst from Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) as he shouted "You lie!" when Obama claimed his plan wouldn't offer free care to illegal immigrants, although bad in form, was dead on.

Joe Wilson R-(SC) has the balls to say what most Americans are thinking and say it in a forum that will be heard and not squashed by the Main Stream Media - who bury any bad news for Obama, and put on the front page any good news no matter how erroneous it may be just because they love Obama so much.

Via FoxNews ...Republicans have an offer -- or 35 -- for President Obama if he is serious about wanting to listen to alternative proposals.  And now says the Republicans do not have any solutions or plans for healthcare?  Oh yeah that is barak Obama, but wait, not so fast...

Republican side have over the course of the last five months offered

rejected," said Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.

"So all of this, you know, 'We want to work with you, kumbaya; let's

what we've seen, to have Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid run the tables on
the kind of health care that they want to put in place, and then look
at Republicans and point the finger and go, 'Well, you guys aren't
playing fair or nice with us.'"

And so you look at the multitude of different proposals that the Republicans have offered and they are all sensible, and cost virtually nothing to execute aside from the paper they are written on. Yet we constantly hear President Barak Obama and Democrats who keep saying that Republicans are not offering any alternatives.  Lies, all lies!  As you can see in the following article by the Washington Examiner.

This is just a snippet of the article but it drives the point home over who is telling the truth and who is lying when they say Republicans - or in Obama straw man speak 'other other side,' or 'some people.'

Rep. Tom Price, the Georgia Republican who heads the House GOP Study
Committee, came to President Obama's speech Wednesday night itching to
make a point. Price, who also happens to be an orthopedic surgeon, has
often heard the president accuse Republicans of criticizing Democratic
health care proposals while having no plans of their own. He expected
Obama to do the same Wednesday night.

"We knew the president would at some point say something like, 'and
the other side has no ideas,' " Price says. So Price and his Republican
colleagues brought with them copies of the more than 30 health care
reform bills they have proposed in the House this year.

Obama didn't directly accuse Republicans of not having a plan. But
he did say he would welcome "serious" health care proposals. "My door
is always open," Obama said.

That's when Price held up the sheaf of papers he was carrying -- a
copy of H.R. 3400, the Empowering Patients First Act, which Price and
the Republican Study Committee proposed in July. Other GOP lawmakers
held up their own bills. Some raised a list of all the health care
bills -- there are more than 30 -- proposed by members of the Study
Committee.

Why use the props? "To say in a quiet and respectful way, 'Here are
our ideas,' " Price says. "To say to the president, 'You're not being
honest with the American people when you say that there haven't been
ideas put forward, and that you've listened to them, because you
haven't.' "

If you're on the fence wondering if the Democrats' heath care proposal a.k.a ObamaCare will raise taxes on the middle class then you're not going to like this. 

It's not every day that you hear a Democratic senator charge that a
fellow Democrat is proposing to raise taxes on the middle class, but
that is what happened on Tuesday when Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va.,
ripped into the health-care bill developed by Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mt.,
the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.

Referring to Baucus, Rockefeller said, "He should understand that (his
proposal) means that virtually every single coal miner is going to have
a big, big tax put on them because the tax will be put on the company
and the company will immediately pass it down and lower benefits
because they are self insured, most of them, because they are larger.
They will pass it down, lower benefits, and probably this will mean
higher premiums for coal miners who are getting very good health care
benefits for a very good reason. That is, like steelworkers and others,
they are doing about the most dangerous job that can be done in
America."

"So that’s not really a smart idea," Rockefeller
continued. "In fact, it’s a very dangerous idea, and I’m not even sure
the coal miners in West Virginia are aware that this is what is waiting
if this bill passes."

President Obama keeps saying that doctors all around the country, as a majority support ObamaCare - BULLSHIT!

Really?  'Ballooned our national debt' you say?  How about Obama?  In 6 months President Obama INCREASED our national debt by about 8 times what President George W. Bush did in his entire 8 years in office COMBINED!.  How do you explain that?  You can't unless you admit to the fact that DEMOCRATS and Barak Obama have been the one "ballooning" our national debt. 

In the above graph you can see that, in all 8 years of George W. Bush's' presidency, the combined total deficit is roughly $1.8 trillion, that's over 8 years, and 2 wars!!  President Barak Obama on the other hand has increased our national deficit by $1.85 TRILLION in his first 6 months in office! 

How is that for "spending like a drunken sailor?"

The reason that videos end up on YouTube is because of idiotic statements - eg. by Baron Hill like this is "HIS" townhall meeting.  Really?  So this town hall is not for the people who ELECTED Mr. Hill to his position?  Yeah, it's because of things like this that are making Americans really really mad at their Congressmen, because really, had Baron Hill just allowed this student to film the town hall meeting, report it as it went along, all would be fine I'm sure.  As far as I've seen, his rejection of a legitimate request to film is the reason he's going to be on YouTube making an ass out of himself.  The only thing Congressmen have to do is to listen to the constituents, not degrade or demean them, and represent them with their votes on bills in Congress.  Now when politicians decide to do the exact opposite - that is when you have a problem with the people.  Remember, the people put you there, and the people can and will remove you from office.

You are in SERIOUS trouble.  This was as tasteless as you can possibly
get.  I can only imagine that your reputation is going to suffer
tremendously.  I had never heard of you before this advertisement came
out and I can assure you that your imagine has only suffered greatly in
the eyes of many Americans and decent people who are disgusted by this
ad.

At least the World Wildlife Fund had enough decency to realize
that 9/11 was a national tragedy not some natural event and is taking

Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) HAS GOT TO GO ASAP!!

As if the hypocrisy could not get any worse for the Democrats, it actually does.  Charlie rangel (D-NY) may in fact be the MOST CORRUPT politician in the entire Congress... IN BOTH HOUSES!!  Yet Nancy Pelosi doesn't seem to mind that an enormous tax cheat, and serial tax raiser himself, who writes the tax law in the USA does not have to pay taxes or follow his own tax laws.  SAY WHAY?!?!?!  Exactly, that is the response of 99.99999% of Americans who are fed up with this circus of crooks going on in Washington.  Yet where is teh mainstream meadi on this?  No where.. why?  Because they are completely in the tank for Democrats and the Obama administration.  DISGUSTING IN ITSELF NO LESS. 

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will let Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.)
keep his chairmanship despite his failing to report hundreds of
thousands of dollars in assets on federal disclosure forms, according
to Democratic aides.

“There’s enough [failures to disclose assets] that it’s starting to
look more like a pattern…the public has a right to know if he pays his
taxes and if he has a pattern of not paying his taxes,” Issa said in an
interview with The Hill. “If he failed to file his taxes in any of
these circumstances, he should not be allowed to be the chairman of the
tax-writing committee.”

This man, Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), needs to be investigated by a special prosecutor, NOT appointed by Nancy Pelosi (because she is just as corrupt as Rangel), but someone who is not partisan and who is not from Washington. 

You may also want to check on Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn) while you are also investigating tax cheats and frauds.

In case you forgot... Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) is the one who boasted to a group of radical supporters that a government provided insurance plan would put private insurers out of business.
She admitted it would destroy the private insurance industry.

Seriously, the Hypocrisy coming from Democrats and Barak Obama is astounding.  Every video that we have seen from the protesters of ObamaCare have been normal people holding home made signs with and voicing legitimate concern about the direction the country is taking.  Conversely, practically every single video we have seen of ObamaCare supporters have been unions holding pre-made ObamaCare signs.  Now we have this video, which clearly shows ObamaCare supporters astro-turfing at their best. 

And Democrats wonder why their numbers in every single poll are tanking to new lows literally every week.

Rasmussen has him at 45%!!! with a -11 Presidential Approval rating only getting worse.. OUCH!!

If Obama and the Democrats weren't such asses, I'd feel bad for them.  but I don't feel bad for them because EVERY SINGLE THING THEY HAVE DONE HAS BEEN TO UNDERMINE THE USA AND ALL OF IT'S FOUNDING PRINCIPLES!!!

Seventy-four percent (74%) of Republican voters say their party’s
representatives in Congress have lost touch with GOP voters nationwide
over the past several years.

        But so is this one:

Republican voters overwhelmingly believe it is more important for the
party to stand for what it believes in rather than trying to work with
President Barack Obama. Eighty-four percent (84%) of Republicans hold
that view while just 14% favor more co-operation with the President.

As for me personally I could not have said it any better than that.  The GOP is out of touch because they do not follow the principles of conservatism anymore and are too afraid of the mainstream media (which is the Democratic party's mouthpiece - there really is no point in watching network news anymore).  The second quote is where it's at.  The GOP needs to stick with their principles and oppose EVERYTHING Barak Obama and the Democrats are trying to do to undermine this great country of ours.  Health-care, Cap and Trade, Wealth Redistribution, the changing of contract law, and amnesty for ILLEGAL immigrants.  All these things are undermining America and are destroying the US from within.  Osama Bin Laden is probably sitting in his cave wondering and smiling at the fact that a sitting US President has done more damage and destruction to the United States than bin Laden ever wishes he could.

If your political strength comes from a perception by voters that you are smart and can get the job done, then you can be forgiven a mistake (e.g, predicting that the “stimulus” would be effective). After all, everyone makes mistakes, the presidency is an incredibly difficult job, and Americans are willing to give almost anyone a second chance. A reputation for competence can be regained if mistakes are followed by successes.

But if your political strength comes from a perception by voters that you will transcend partisanship, unite the country, and change the culture in Washington, and then you govern from the extreme, attack critics as un-American, and get caught repeatedly saying one thing while doing another, there will be no forgiveness. Trust, once lost, is rarely regained

I believe Obama’s declining polls are not an indication that Americans are upset that the stimulus didn’t work and unemployment remains high, or that reforming healthcare is proving harder than advertised. Rather, I believe it reflects disillusionment that they were hoodwinked by a charlatan, a magnificent fraud.

If I’m right, the polls won’t rebound much when the economy does.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
