Schwarzenegger is doing the right thing by cutting gov't jobs to cut costs, instead of taxing more Americans to get their money. Government is the biggest waste of money there possibly is in any economy and California's gov't social spending bubble has just popped. Big government DOES NOT WORK! And now with Obama and the Democrats' "stimulus" bill (God I hate calling it that cause it is totally a social works and spending bill), it IS NOT going to help, but rather kill our economy).

These two men were doing their jobs, and doing it well when they shot a drug dealer/smuggler actually in transit with drugs on him. These two border patrol agents were WRONGFULLY convicted, and WRONGFULLY jailed.
It is about time that these innocent men who were right in doing their job - and if it takes force to do it then so be it, our southern boarder with Mexico is a war zone!
These men should not have been vilified and prosecuted, they should have been AWARDED a medal for doing their job and stopping a drug smuggler in their tracks. (Although, if marijuana was legal there wouldn't be this problem of drug smugglers running huge loads of drugs into our country illegally - THEY WOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS, thus the violence would be gone with it.)
It was an absolute abomination what was done to our federal security agents for simply doing their job. This episode does much to deteriorate and hurt the moral of our fighting men and women who are just trying to keep America safe. The people who prosecuted this case should be the ones ON TRIAL and facing treason charges for defending someone who is breaking our laws and flaunting justice in our faces. This was a mockery of anything resembling America. It should be learned from and never allowed to occur again.

This article says everything that is wrong with Democrats
Hardened Obama plans new fights
Seriously, they are living in a dream world. There is no bi-partisanship, it is ALL partisan on the democrats side. This article is clearly swooning Obama, making him look as if he has been doing the right thing. Well I'm sorry, everything I have seen is contradictory to everything he said on the campaign trail and contradictory to everything real Americans want and need.
Obama is slowly digging his own grave. This article was correct in one point: "The Washington climate, which led to a party-line vote on the stimulus, has big political implications: It means that Obama will have sole ownership — whether that means credit or blame — for all the massive changes in government he envisions over the coming year." The reaction the American people are going to give Obama and deomcrats is a BIG Heeve-Ho out of power come 2010 and 2012 once they see how damaging the monstrosity of a stimulus bill they are passing, on a strict partisan vote. I don't care that 3 Republicans are voting for it. They are 3 very very liberal Republincas and should not even be counted as Republicans, since they do not share the same values as real conservatives.
I'm an Independet, and any idot can see beyond the smoke and mirrors the Democrats are hiding behind. The American people are starting to have serious BUYERS REMORSE now that they are starting to see Obama and Democrats for the wastefu, anti-American values, and ridiculous spending on socialism expansion they are trying to implement.
I'm just glad the Republican party took a stand (minus the 3 chicken shits from Maine and Pa.) At least someone is doing the RIGHT thing.

The Congressional Budget Office - the watchdog, it's there to make sure that Congress is doing it's job of looking out for the peoples' freedom and best interest, and not just spending it's way into socialism.
It's hard to say it any better than this basic summary of the article:
'Building on a report issued last week, CBO, Congress's official scorekeeper, said the flood of spending will boost the economy in the short term and will create new jobs. But over 10 years, extra debt will "crowd out" private investment, leading to a lower Gross Domestic Product which would hurt workers' wages. '
"What the Democrats are asking the American people to do is buy a $1.1 trillion dollar plane that barely gets off the ground before crashing. The ones left inside that wreckage will be the American worker and taxpayer," said Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, which writes tax laws.
"To the extent that people hold their wealth as government bonds rather than in a form that can be used to finance private investment, the increased debt would tend to reduce the stock of productive private capital. In economic parlance, the debt would crowd out private investment," CBO said.
'The compromise bill Democratic leaders said they agreed to Wednesday night totals $789 billion, with $514 billion in spending and $275 billion in tax breaks.' THIS IS BACKWARDS!!!! This should be be 66% TAX CUTS, and only 33% Spending. THIS WOULD WORK BETTER FOR EVERYONE!!! I barely make any money trading the stock market, but not for not trying. I have worked my theory to such a fine skill and am on the verge of really doing something special with my life. Passing this monstrosity of a of a bill, a "Stimulus Bill" if you can even call a stimulus, definitely more like "Spendulus Bill" if it's 2/3rds spending and only 1/3 tax cuts. The tax cuts were hard fought too. If it were not for Republicans actually having a spine and holding ground and forcing the Democrats to actually concede to SOME tax cuts, we would be looking at some $Trillion debt for literally DECADES to come.
You talk about killing my dream? Seriously man, the Democrats are about to hang a major weight around all of our necks for years to come for people just trying to make it, staying alive man. Staying alive so you can live your dream, and do it without the gov't payroll taxe at like 35%...RIDICULUS, IMPOSSIBLE FOR GROWTH. We need free economics. Having no income tax and just paying sales tax on everything, pay tax on whatever you buy but don't take from our income every year. This would be much better! It's so much easier to know what you really got. Also, you need to know where you're at, if you ever want to get better.

Obama Adminsitration - A Toxic Disaster for the USA

This article on Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner does not even do justice to how the market reacted. As an Equities/ETF/Index trader I watched in horror as Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner spoke on his plans for the bailout. Every word that came out of his mouth was followed by a serious downtick across the board in the stock market. Even when Geithner did happene to mention that was even a bit good, the market just held it's breath and waited for the next blunder thart was sure to follow. We did not even ger a retracement on somewhat decent remarks, none, nada, ZERO - just continued downward pressure on all stocks.
What a true disaster the Obama adminsitration has already been to this country and it is only still 3 weeks into his presidency.
Obama chooses tax cheats to run the IRS, another tax cheat to be Treasury Secretary.
Obama's "plegde" niot to use lobbyists in any part of his adminsitration was followed by his selectin of a Raytheon lobbyist to fill a defense department role in his administration.
This guy - and I mean President Obama - has done nothing, and I do mean NOTHING he promised in his campaign. Everyday people are starting to see what a FRAUD Barak Obama is, and how inexperienced he actually is, incapable of managing the tasks of being President of the United States of America. I'ts a lot different than being a "community organizer." I mean what a joke people actually bought that crap he was sellingon teh campaign trail.
Well it serves the stupid people of our country right that they are now seeing their "messiah" completely screw our country royally, from fron to back and everywhere in between. Unfortunately all of the good people are getting screwed too. Barak Obama may as well be associated with the asteriord that killed the dinosaurs and nearly 70% of the living organisms on earth at the time when it impacted.
Replace earth in that arguement with the USA, and Barak Obama is the "ASTEROID OF DEATH!"

Excellent article on the way America has helped Iraq help themselves. By showing them that we are only there to help and not hurt showed them the light beyond religious fascism. God bless those Iraqis who finally said enough is enough to thugs, criminals and fundamentalists running an interfering with their daily lives. It shows that if you are not out to kill us, we will not go out and kill you (and you know how kick ass our military is, why beg to be destroyed by spewing hate?), in fact we would like to be friends and see if we can get along and live in peace.

Obama is ruining all chances ever again of there being a black president. It's a shame because I would have voted for Colin Powell, he's a leader. They realize that America LOVES AMERICA, not terrorists! But President Barak Obama seems to favor, check that DOES FAVOR terrorists trying to destroy our great country. He, and Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid and most Democrats are trying to turn our freedom loving country into a socialist, marxist nation. Is this a joke? Unfortunately, NO! And I scream this because how can the people who vote for Barak Obama not see this? I understand that most if not all black people wanted a black president, I get that. BUT, do the majority of black people support turning their country into a socialist nation like France or Spain? This, I cannot believe is true. But what is true, is the fact that the first African American president of the United States of America is bleeding this country of all that made it great in the first place.
Look at how he is trying to scare people into thinking that if the Congress does not pass the mostrosity of a "stimulus" bill, so they call it, then America will be down in the dumps for a much longer time. I say, and I say this as a full time equity trader, that passing this bill WILL BE THE REASON FOR THE LONG RECESSION Barak Obama is talking about. Doing nothing is better than passing a bill that will kill us all!

This is the crux of the problem with Obama

THAT'S THE PROBLEM, THEY ARE NOT MODERATE DIFFERENCES.
THEY ARE HUGE DIFFERENCES!!!
Talk about being out of touch with what people want. This garbage "stimulus" package is all about ramming Democratic party spending down our throats. This is tantamount to war with the Democrats. They are absolutely RUINING our country. They talk about "hope and change" but what they are really selling is Socialism and European government reforms that are going to completely ruin the Capitalism that made th United States of America great in the first place. They are solely responsible for bring down America with socialism. And history will not forget the shitstorm of disaster that the Democratic Party brought upon us, and which the Rebublican Party fully objected to from the beginning. There will be no "re-writing" of history, peolpe will remember Obama as a liar, a hypocrite, and a complete and utter failure the likes will never be allowed to occur again in the US. This all stems from his socialist approach and his lunatic leftist speaker, Nancy Pelosi, an Harry Reid (who in my opinion is just as bad as Pelosi but immensely dumber).
They talk about being bi-partiasn but in fact they are the most hyper-partisan party in HISTORY! Nancy Pelosi wrote this bill and filled it full of wasteful spending that has nothing to do with stimulating the economy. Geez if the American people finally wake up and smell the crap that is coming out of this bill they are going to throw a shitstorm the Democrats way. The aforemntioned shitstorm is already brewing and public opinion is turning massively against the Obama/Pelosi stimulus bill.
Let's hope the American public keeps opening it's eyes wider and wider to see the true nature of the Democratic Party, as well as with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and realize that it is they, the Democrats who have pulled the wool over Americans' eyes and have been slowly bleeding the American spirit out of our great country and are setting the US up for COMPLETY AND UTTER FAILURE THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE.
