Common Sense

“I wasn’t a great communicator, but I communicated great things, and they didn’t spring full bloom from my brow, they came from the heart of a great nation-from our experience, our wisdom, and our belief in the principles that have guided us for two centuries. They called it the Reagan revolution. Well, I’ll accept that, but for me it always seemed more like the great rediscovery, a rediscover of our values and our common sense.“
- President Ronald Reagan

Excellent Article

The war is over and a previously torn country has become a model for what the rest of the region should become. | The Australian

Excellent article on the way America has helped Iraq help themselves.  By showing them that we are only there to help and not hurt showed them the light beyond religious fascism.  God bless those Iraqis who finally said enough is enough to thugs, criminals and fundamentalists running an interfering with their daily lives.  It shows that if you are not out to kill us, we will not go out and kill you (and you know how kick ass our military is, why beg to be destroyed by spewing hate?), in fact we would like to be friends and see if we can get along and live in peace.

Iraqis are realizing this, and are rejecting the religious rule of people who are not there for their guidance to bigger and better things, but more for their destruction.    This is what freedom is about!
